So I went to salford royal today and got told I've lost just over 11 pounds since March that made me feel great. They want to take the band out and do a bypass. The doctors says that they will have a meeting and see IF they can get funding as there isn't the money available for band to bypass op. Came away a little worried that I wont get the funding for the op. Is this something they say to everyone?

I believe they are not allowed to be perceived as giving you false hope! I can't speak from a revision point of view for surgery, but I was told that I may not get funding and I may have to "jump through some hoops"
But mine went so smoothly and I got funding!

Gosh I'm worried I don't get funding either.. Still waiting for my hospital appt and apparently I meet criteria from the tier3 perspective but it's down to the hospital to decide.. Great imagine you pick one hospital and don't get the funding without knowing the other one down the road would have put you through! It's like Russian roulette!

Unfortunately it's literally luck if the draw, criteria, waiting lists and how much money is in their pot!
