After surgery I want to be able to .........

angelajoy1961

Bypass on 23rd June
As I'm being questioned as to why I'm having WLS I thought I'd start a thread to say what I want to do afterwards that I can't do so easily now .... please feel free to add your own desires !!

Paint my toenails without suffocating cause of my belly
Squeeze out of the car in a small parking space
Get fully submerged in the bath
Drive without my belly catching on the steering wheel
Wear high heels again
Wear a pair of tights without cutting off my circulation
Cross my legs
Do anything without sweating
Sleep without my CPAP
Be looked at but not because I'm fat!
Wear sexy undies
Not feel embarrassed when I eat in public

That'll do for now lol

Oohh thought of another .......

wear my sexy belly dancing outfits to class instead of covering up

I would love to be able to cross my legs again :D I could do it when I lost nearly 10 stone years ago but not since then! XX

NOT being obsessed with food BUT still enjoying what I eat:)

Great post - I would love to get on a flight without having to suffer the embarassment of asking for an extension belt - hopefully that will be so when I fly to my Mums on June 11th :) xx

Angela your number one made me smile ... its my number one to! .. I feel like my belly is crushing my boobs and in turn my boobs crush my lungs ...

to be able to do my shoes up for the same reason as above.
not to have to put the car seat back to get out would be good :)

jacqui and maz..you make me laugh...
i have never crossed me legs ..

I have such a big list ..that when I get to writing my diary I will post them all...

my biggest wish is to be normal..i dont know if its possible!!lol

I can't wait to go into the cheapey shops like Primark and buy loads of clothes off the shelf, and to be able to put my socks on without having to use my trouser leg to get my foot up high enough to do it!

lol @ maz and jac - mrs bauket/bucket springs to mind (one foot in the grave) lol

i look forward to not having any health problems and being able to go onto east gate market and buy sh*t loads of clothes aswell as go on a plane and be able to put the tray down infront of me or get the arm rests down, and be able to walk the streets without feeling everyones looking at the fat ginger bird. lol

I'd love to wear a bra with teeny tiny straps instead of the inch thick ones I have to wear now. Also, to throw a pair of pants out because they're old instead of because I've worn a hole in the inside seam from my thighs rubbing together. What I'd give... X

after how ever many times of sewing them pants up too newcy because they cost you £30 plus and not that old! - i know how that feels! im too fat for jeans these days tho xxx

Tell me about it Keeley! X

pleased I'm not the only one!!! I often get pains in my side when i bend over (whilst sat down) to tie my laces - I think I must nip the fat or something. Its awful, first time it happened i though I was havin a heart attack - but it was on the wrong side...

After my bypass I'd like to..... know I can do anything without having to plan it - even just getting up from sitting without thinking about where I can distribute my weight, will the arm of the chair hold, will the sofa tip forward, will my knees buckle and so on... terrible isn't it when we can't even do these simple things?

and sex, I'd like lots of sex please.... without my hips going off, my back hurtin, getting out of breath (well mebbie a bit!), getting a headache, pains in my arms, shoulders, ankles... painfree, wonderful, allnight sex would be great thankyouverymuch!

Too true - hopefully the govt don't pull the plug anytime too soon! I truly believe this operation would cost the NHS less money than having to deal with obesity-related illnesses over the long term.
