I haven't mentioned this yet but I'm an artist and am doing a project about the operation and the journey I am about to go through. :D If you're interested in having a look as this progresses I have recently started a blog about it www.bodyandbeing.blogspot.co.uk

Thx for this. Not really thought about it before aprt from Rubens & the Ft Fetih brigade. Interesting & intellectually challenging. Will follow your blog. I'm a crafter & very into knitting, crochet & embroidery so the machine stuff set me thinking.

I love the embroidery. When the patterns, colour and texture have been removed from the context of the body (disembodied as it were) they become beautiful and take on a natural, organic feel.

I, for one, love my stretch marks and, although I'll have sags and bags I think I'll love them too. After all our bodies are amazing and mine has done amazing things with and for me. How can I not love it?

Great blog really enjoyed it. But I feel I should warn you we are not allowed to post links. I would hate for you to get in trouble :(

Off to have a read :)

Hi Bexh love the artwork an interesting way of expressing the body of a fat woman and how it makes you feel.It certainly struck a cord with me,especially the stretch marks, saggy boobs and overinflated way I used to feel.I could feel a real angst in the first piece where the fat is being gripped.I will follow with interest as I too am a crafter and love texture and colour.Maz x

Really interesting, I read the blog this morning and have already been telling people about it!
Made me think about this lifelong physical and mental struggle in a different way.

Loved LondonIrish's comment about having an amazing body - mine has been through so much and is still getting me around and keeping me alive, despite my occasional hatred of it and all the pressure I've put on it over the years.

Ladies (and gents) we're just totally amazing xx

Aren't we just. Guys we should applaud ourselves. Xx

Well said everyone, and love the artwork. T xxx

Amazing responses! Love for you to share these thoughts and comment on the blog itself if you like.
Getting very excited about my art and life journey ahead now
