As promised some Bariatric Surgery Statistics

I've posted the link to all the information I have been sent from the NHS Information Centre.

The relavent table is at 7.14.

Now I have these statistics I am working on getting the mortality statistics. I may not have these in time before I go in for my op, so I apologise for only sharing half the information but I felt that there is a lot of useful information here. One thing that struck me was how few of these operations take place every year.

I should add that the statistics quoted are for all NHS funded procedures, including those taking place in private hospitals. The figures DO NOT included private patients in private hospitals.

Thay are also not a long term study as one has never been done....... there are a few sites on statistics and they can be a bit scarey to those of a nervous dissposition.

Deaths are not registered to the op anyway after 90 days.
