Don't know when I'm full!

Just wanted to ask you guys when you started to recognise fullness. Granted im only 2 weeks post op and still mainly on liquids but i had some very thick soup today (blended of course) and wasnt sure when id had enough. After a few teaspoonfuls i started gurguling and feeling of fullness in chest but still felt a bit hungry so kept going for another while. Does it just take a while to realise it? Like is it easier on purees/solids?

Thanks,

Sm

It's hard to get used to. Put your spoon/fork down between mouthfuls and wait 30 seconds. I stop when I feel a slight fullness - I want to keep my restriction as much as poss (17 months out)

Thanks nicola. yeah i figure itl take some time

Im 10 months out and im still learning, its learning a whole new way of eating food. I learnt the hard way that if you eat 'normally' instead of going very slow and putting your cutlery down between mouthfuls it's only 10/15 mins later you realise you have eaten too much and it's too late by then! So eat a little slowly and eventually you will recognise when have had enough without the horrible feeling that you have eaten too much and need to lie down.

this has been a worry going through my head !
wondering if i will know i am full or if ill scupper myself first chance i get !

But then again ive heard people saying you overeat once and you dont do it again ! xx
