does anyone whos had a bypass find it easier to get things down afternoon ,evening?
im finding it hard to eat in the mornings. afternoon /evening seems so much easier:confused:

yeah Mandy. I struggle still first thing. I often have a yoghurt though just to kick start things rather than get in the bad habit of not eating.

I am opposite. I really struggle in the afternoons and evenings.

Yeah I also struggle to eat anyting in the morning.

I have got in the routine of either have a banana smoothie (banana, low fat vanilla yoghurt and some milk with protein powder whizzed in blender) or wheetabix in warm milk as it goes like mush.

Just think its better to have something thicker than fluids than nothing at all.

Hope this helps

mandy even now 13 months on i struggle in the morning. I make sure i start my day with a milky coffee and usually find i may have another couple befor i manage to eat my first meal but if by 10.30 am i have not eaten i make sure i have some fruit. after that i usually eat again about 2 and then about 8. so far out i only eat when hungry but still ensure i get my protien down.

Yep, Same here Mandy.

I tend to have a couple of coffees made half milk/half water in the morning. It doesnt help that Im usually in a rush getting ready to go to work etc. I generally have some fruit mid morning on a work day, or at the weekend when I am home I will have some bacon or maybe cereal with milk.

I can manage lunch and evening meal no problems.

Well at the mo im struggling all day, cause by the time ive had my milkshake in a morning and my protein drink i strugle to get most things down. Then i am only a week post op now. Still seems like i have loads to get down and not sure i get them all .
