“Channel 4's hit medical series just got a lot bigger. Embarrassing Bodies returns for a four-part series with Drs Christian, Dawn and Pixie lifting the underbelly of the nation's fat as the UK tips the scales with an incredible 27.5 million people either overweight or obese. The doctors welcome the dangerously obese into their clinic and help with the embarrassing problems caused by their weight: from erectile dysfunction and massive hernias, through to sagging skin and hidden genitals. In the first of the series the doctors see some jaw-dropping sights, including Glenn whose stomach oedema literally touches the floor, and successful slimmer Julia whose new slim frame is draped in excess skin.

It is a 4 week show which I doubt it will do much for 'our cause' but sounds interesting viewing nonetheless - I understand the main guy to be interviewed has lost over 20st so I take my hat off to him ! xxx

I just can't stand to watch these programmes. It just feels like a chance to poke a stick at the fatties and laugh at them. I hate all those sorts of 'freak show' programmes about people with weird illnesses or disabilities.
