Hello, at my dietitian appointment she mentioned that my GP can refer or prescribe discounted prices for things like gym and swimming and things, dose anyone know what this is called.

Here is the info abut NHS (England) How your GP can help you lose weight - Live Well - NHS Choices Health is a devloved issue so will try and find something. I know they used to help but I have a feeling my dr said not any more .. Will check

OK for Glasgow you want to ask your GP about the LiVE ACTIVE REFERRAL SCHEME - it means you get support via an advisor for 12 months and the concession rate of £23.50 per month. This will give you access to all the GLASGOW LIFE facilities

You're welcome. I used this years ago after I had my band fitted. It really helped.

Quite fancy the aqua zumba classes bit its such I long time since I was in the swimming pool I will have to check if the clorinf smell triggers my coughing.

Its a bargain it you go twice a week or more. Do you have one of the gyms/pools nearby?
