Just thought I'd pop in with a little update
I was banded 22nd sep, I weighed 14.2 1/2 I'm down to 12.9 1/2 so think that's 21lb quite happy with that although I did expect it quicker but think that's me just at restriction with 6ml in my band xx usually over Christmas easily I'd put on half a stone but I lost 2lb xx

Well done on your success hope I'm just as successful xx I got banded 8/12/12 and have 3ml in a 10ml band having first fill tomorrow done. 10 lb since op another 5 stone to go ;(

well done I seeing Mr Gokhale in Feb for my final consult still cant dicide on Band or Sleeve though?? Any advice

i have lost over ten stones ... and have a band. you have to work with the band maybe more than with the other wls options available. i am a bit of a grazer, sweet tooth and volume eater so possibly my provider could have advised me to opt for another procedure, but i am 100% happy with my choice of band. it petrified me to think of having a more invasive procedure which may not be reversible. i think its important to recognise there is an element of risk with all surgical procedures, and not one of the wls procedures can guarantee 100% that you will lose the amount of weight you want to lose and ensure that it stays off. afterall we are dealing with human bodies/habits/and sometimes the unexpected. do lots and lots of reading and asking of questions before you make your choice. best of luck
