Hi, my name is Donna and I came across this website in search of additional information about gastric bypass surgery. I have struggled with my weight for many years and for the last year or 2 it was started causing physical problems with my back and leg. After being on medication for well over a year my GP put me forward for a referral for the surgery. I have since received a letter about attending a group meeting in Sunderland.

What should I expect from this meeting?

I have also read in the forum about people being granted funding for the surgery and was wondering when does this happen?
