Inch loss

Today I realised that I'm getting smaller lol. First I tried on my suit trousers that are a size 20. I did'nt think I'd get in them because they are a slim cut but I did with room to spare. Infact they kept slipping down so I was uncomfortable with having to keep pulling them up lol. I then decided to measure my "bingo wings" to find I have lost 4" off each arm. I have lost 5" off the top of each leg and 10" off my waist. I'm happy with this but my weight does'nt seem to be going down at the minute. Any help and advice would be gratefully received. Thankyouxxxxx

Hi Gaynor well done on the inch loss! You know i am only 9 days post op so i can't answer your questions but i guess the old rule applys with any diet that you are on if still loosing inches if not lb's than that is A GOOD sign still xxxx

Well done :D

Are there any carbs you can replace with protein in your diet at the mo that may help kick start again?

Xx

I don't eat much bread, maybe half a slice toasted once a week but I do have 3 or 4 jacket potatoes a week with tuna. I eat just veg with my dinners instead of potatoes. I don't eat rice or pasta now so I'm stuck with what to have. I think i'm just getting bored with the foods I can eat so I need to give myself a kick up the jacksie lolxx:eek:

fantastic inch loss gaynor. You must feel fantastic.

As for speeding up the weight loss - I'm no expert and your diet sounds fairly healthy. Are you drinking enough? Ive always found on any "diet" the more I drink the more rapidly I seem to lose weight.

Hi Gaynor

well done on losing the inches :D

I'm the same btw...the scales have come to a stand still but my clothes are hanging off me and people are seeing a difference....which is great but doesn't make sense does it

I'm going for a fill on Thursday so we'll see what happens then

Hi Gaynor and Yvonne

Best advice I can to you both is to speak to your dieticians. Give them some examples of what you are eating and see what they advise.

We can give you tips that work for us as allready mentioned more protein fruit and low carb veg plus plenty of fluids but they are the proffesionals.

Good luck, hope your weight starts shifting soon x

The body is an amaising thing and i look at it this way that whilst us women are used to multi tasking there are time in our lives that we have to let nature take over. During my journey i have had weeks where the scales havent moved but i know i have lost inches.
so if the scales dont move for a few weeks i just dont worry as i know the tape will.
Even now that my weight loss has really slowed down im still loosing inches and changing shape. so give yr body time to catch up with yr loss and you wil see the transformation.

Thankyou mt lovely mini pals. I don't think I do drink enough Sam to be honest so I'm going to make it a routine again like I did first thing post op.
Carole I know what you mean about the body catching up and I'm not worried because I know it will start up again when my body is ready. You look amazing and I only dream of losing as much as you have. Well done!!

I have a habit of staying the same for weeks and then dropping a few pounds in one go. I have a good week in the gym and go more than I normally do or walk a lot more than I normally do and that gets it moving a bit too. Like you though I don't drink enough water.

Gaynor you are doing brilliantly well done on the inch loss and I am sure your weight will start dropping again soon, as Carole says dont worry

Jay xx

Hi Gaynor, you have done wonderfully so far ... it feels great when your clothes fall off you cos its a sign that things are moving in the right direction!

I agree with you though that there are times when the scales move and other times when they dont. I hope you keep up the good work and enjoy even more moments of joy in your weightloss journey!!!:D:D
