just wonderiiiiing....

to all you post oppers... did you all get given stuff to wash in pre op... cos i haven't :S

.x.

i was given hibiscrub to shower in a few days before the op.

no i wasnt given anything, i assume my MRSA tests came back negative.

I wasn't given anything or instructed to wash with anything but knew about Hibiscrub and also Tesmaralda had put up a useful post about it.

I used it before my 1st pre-op assessment and before going in for admission. Unless your hospital gives specific advice, it's down to personal choice. MRSA can be brought in by visitors and contractors to the hospital anyway.

i did get mrsa after my 1st band op, so i think this is why i was given the hibiscrub the 2nd time around, i was also given nasal cream to use as well.

My lasting memory is coming around groggy and asking "has he done it" and them telling me "linda you bit your lip really badly have a feel" I totally ignored them until they answered "yes its done" when I promptly floated up to cloud nine lol...I can relive this over and over again and it gives me a buzz sad or what lol...xx

they are probably just trying to prevent the spread of it, ive had it b4 and it wasnt nice, its good that they are taking measures to keep it under control.

yeah, it's a good hospital, and the people there are lovely.

I just called as i hadn't had anything in the post, and the lovely women said she had done it today, and i asked if it had the info of when im ment to go in etc and she offered to go get it and tell me everything, bloomin lovely!

She then wished me lots of luck!!! I wish more health profesionals were as nice!
