Loose skin under chin...........

Pookiedoodle

Totally in love with Mika
Argh, I appear to be turning into a turkey!!!!!

My skin where my under my chin & my neck join is starting to get rather saggy & loose & I'm SO conscious about it, I'm only 36 not 86!!!

Mr Pooks says it's hardly noticeable, but I can really see it, it's awful!!

Has anyone else had this?

I'm just preying it'll tighten up over time.

yep facial excercises will tone this up x

It may not go completely, but I am sure some of it will tighten up in time..... keep smiling.:D

Lol, I'm sure Mr Pooks is right in that is is probably barely noticable...we are always our own worst critics! I read on a prior post that it does take a little while for the skin to sort of shrink back, so I am sure once the weight loss slows/levels off a bit it will shrivel back to nothing!

One thing I've noticed developing over the past year are those jowls at the sides of your chin. Does anyone know whether these will disappear in time or do I have to start thinking about having a facelift!

Mine is pissing me off lots too, my face shape is relatively nice and even my jawline is ok but my stupid double chin is really annoying me, I have now decided to leave the regular moisturiser alone and use my Bio Oil to see if that helps.
I had to flatten and redo my computer today so I cant put my pictures on right now but I will put some on tomorrow to show you mine if you like, we could compare waddles!!! lol

OMG I am paranoid about mine, constantly making rediculous faces!!! Mr Mimsie thinks I have completely lost the plot when I sit here at night looking like a demented turtle!!!! Also pile on lots of Olay!!!! xxxxx

Try these xx

Neck and throat facial exercises
# 1
A great exercise is to sit upright, tilt your head back looking at the ceiling while keeping your lips closed and then start a chewing movement. You will feel the muscles working in your neck and throat area - and will be truly amazed at the results. Repeat 20 times.
# 2
Sit upright, tilt your head back looking at the ceiling, while keeping your lips closed and relaxed. Start puckering your lips together in a kiss and stretch the kiss, as if you were trying to kiss the ceiling. Keep your lips puckered for 10 counts, then relax, bring your head back to its normal position and repeat 5 times.
# 3
Sit upright, tilt your head back looking at the ceiling, while keeping your lips closed and relaxed. Open your lips and stick your tongue out as if you were trying to touch your chin with the tip of your tongue. Keep your tongue out in this position for 10 counts, and then return your tongue and head to its normal position.
# 4
Sit upright, tilt your head back looking at the ceiling, while keeping your lips closed and relaxed. Next move your lower lip over your top lip as far as possible and keep it there for a count of 5. Relax and repeat 5 times.
# 5
Lie on your bed, with your head hanging down over the edge. Slowly bring your head up towards your torso and keep it there for 10 counts. Relax and lower your head towards the floor again - repeat 5 times.
# 6
Sit upright and face forward and while keeping your lips together, separate your teeth by dropping your jaw and then push your jaw forward, keep for a count of 10, bring back to starting position and repeat 5 times.

hi i've had this as well but mine tends to go wobbly then tighten up. this process seems to have repeated itself quite a few times along the way!

All sorts of stuff to try - exercises, pile cream, where do I begin????

LOL

I seem to be more conscious of my turkey neck than anything else right now, I think it's because I can hide all my other wobbly bits, but my neck is out all the time.

Maybe I should just wear a scarf - all day every day!

Lisa J...mine does that, it looks kind of wrinkly then tightens a bit, does that every six weeks or so but still isnt shrinking enough for me.
T&T...Those exercises look good, was reading them out to hubby just then and we both tried them and wow, you can really feel them, Im going to do them every day from now on, thanks for that.

I too have fallen prey to the turkey neck. I slather neck cream on twice a day in the vain hope it will tone up over time. I also have a vast array of lightweight scarves to disguise it !
Will give those exercises a go though, anything is worth a try.
