Well it does say liquids for 4weeks.i have homemade soups.yoghurts etc.have tried the slimfast shakes,but they are far too sweet for me.i have been having milky coffee,with extra marvel added for protein,which i find alot better for me.i have had some very runny mash also.i know our dr says liquids for 4wks,but to be honest.lots of other people from different hosp are allowed pureed type food etc.and i think i know my body enough to just eat a very amount.i have never been sick or felt ill,which im thankful for.everyone is different,and im nearly 3wks out so i have tried a few items.our dr is very cautious,iwhich is great,when your in hosp,you will only be allowed water for a few days,and then some nas juice.i felt fine straightaway,and refused pain killers.i know alot of people have pain,and trapped wind also.but the drugs are good if you need them,and you must take it easy for a while after.be kind to yourself,and im sure everything will be fine.nicky.xx
