Payment plans

I have noticed quite a few people on here have paid privately for their surgery. Has anyone paid on a payment plan or was it all paid in one go?

I looked into these when i had my op, and was advised by my chosen surgery provider to avoid them as the interest rates tend to be very high, they advised getting a personal loan instead...... in the end i funded my op myself, though anyone thinking of self funding a private op would be wise to look towards a personal loan rather than a payment scheme.

I found all of the loan rates very high so I put it on my credit card (that had no balance), then applied for a new credit card with 0% for 16 months and transferred the balance within the first month so I did not pay any interest, and if I have not managed to clear the balance within the 16 months I will apply for another 0% credit card and I will transfer the balance again. I hate wasting money on interest if I can avoid it.
