Hi everyone,
I have contemplated doing the gastric band for a while now. After investigating this thoroughly - I have decided to go through with it. My op date will be either the 4th or 5th of October (am waiting for availability to confirm one of the dates)...

I am excited - but also nervous (naturally) - but here I am... ready for the rocky road ahead...

So... I have on main fear about the weight loss surgery, and that has to do with excess skin. My doctor said that he can't guarantee that I will not have excess skin, but I wanted to ask... is there anything anyone can do (whether it be specific exercises or rubbing Vitamin E cream all over your body) to keep these side effects to a minimum?
