:DDont know if you know but if you have skin removed after weightloss you can donate it for burns vitims!Isnt that cool,no waste and recycled human to boot!

Aww thats an excellent idea! I was told pre-bypass that they would not fund any skin removal surgery. I was told that if I need need excess skin removed - I would have to fund that yself...seems that if they could, they could have mine and do my op for free, in exchange for my skin! lol

when i had my t/tuck they asked if i would sign a form so they could use the skin to do research on it so they can help others, they said if i didnt want to then they would respect my wishes, i signed the form as the skin would of only been distroyed anyway so its a good thing to be able to help others in what ever way we can.

omg really thats amazing wow well they will have loads of me lol i will be only to happy to donate mine lol

3 years ago my father was a small aircraft which crashed and exploded on impact.
He suffered bad burns to his face, chest, arms and hands.....(imagine Simon Weston from the Falklands battleship fire), mainly as he was burnt twice as he went back in to rescue the passenger.
Alot of his initial skin grafts used 'cavader' skin so I think this idea of donating our skin after plastics is a fantastic idea! Whenever I get t the stage of plastics I will definately be ticking the 'yes' box!
