Gastric Sleeve Swimming - how long after op

Hi I want to start swimming, how long after op are you allowed to go, do feel fine inside never had any pain. Thanks

I asked my surgeon and he said 4 weeks, but I have read on here that some people have had to wait longer...

Best check with your team as is would appear to be patient specific....hope he says you can swim now...hope your feeling well

Well if you saw what I had to do at work today bex you would have a heart attack loL

I would personally feel more than happy to swim right now. Just take it gentle at first

Good question!! I'm going for my six week check on Wednesday and am going to ask about all forms of exercise while I'm there.
What I'd do Bex, is perhaps go, and just acclimatize to being in the water, perhaps do a couple of widths, nothing too strenuous, and build up gradually xxx

Oh I can't wait to be able to go swimming again. Wouldn't be seen dead in a cossie at the moment. Shame the leisure centre 2 minutes walk from me has closed down for a year for a re-furb.
