In just over 3 weeks ive lost 1 pound. Its kinda frustrating after loosing so much in the first few weeks of post op. I just wondered if anyone else has had the same length of time without loosing anything

Hiya Marky, i know where your coming from for me so far its been about 4 weeks. Hang on in there it will start again. janey:D:D

I thought I'd lost 3lbs last week after stalling for three weeks but have put 2lbs back on somehow! I think it's because I have such a fixation on not losing too much too quickly, that I'm not really dieting now, just eating what I can. I'm four months post-op.

Glad its not just me ! I only lost 1/2 a pound last week and i've been torturing myself about it ever since. (i'm 8 weeks post op)

I know you won't, but don't beat yourself up about it. My weight goes up and down all the time, I know because I tend to weigh every day. So, what else can I expect? I agree that it is probably best to lose the weight slower but don't forget your bypass was smaller than the average for that reason, so you are going to malabsorb less than average.

My fear is missing out on the "honeymoon" period of the quicker weightloss in the 1st 12 months or so. There are times that I think I may have finished already, then the weightloss starts again.

We have both gone through massive changes in the last 4 months and it is to be expected to think they will continue, but these things do slow down.

You've done very well, don't get disheartened. xxx
