Why isn't my updated thread appearing in the new posts section?

Okay, a lot of people dont seem to understand the new system, so this is how it now works.
New posts displays posts that you have not read on this entire site.
When you respond/create or read a thread, it is then marked as being no longer "new". Thus it doesnt show up in "new posts".
Now when I login, and I click new posts, thoes posts that you have responded/created are now displayed to me.
If you want to track particular threads, this is how you do it.
There is a blue bar at the top of the first post on this thread.
One of the buttons says "Thread tools". This pops up a list of options. One is "Subcribe to This Thread". When you click it, it adds that thread to your UserCP.
Click UserCP and the list of suscribed threads is right there.
