I'm lucky in that I've never really enjoyed the taste of alcohol, and don't intend to drink now I'm post-op.
I'm three months out, and as I'm still having to experiment and be careful with foods, there's no way I'd consider alcohol yet, even if I liked it.
If I'm out and people ask why I'm not drinking, I'll just tell them it's my choice not to - why should you have to explain yourself/ answer to anyone?
