Advice needed thinking of going to Europe for surgery

Hi after battling with my weight for years I'm thinking of going to France for a Gastric Band, has anyone on the forum been abroad for this surgery? If so could you advise me of how your found the overall surgery process & aftercare provided. Many thanks Bronte
