I lost 2 lb this week but it does not seem much as I have started walking every evening with my dog. I am happy with the loss but is it normal to loose only 2lb in a week at week 4

Bryan.......... Your body has already lost an astounding amount of weight but, it's probably suddenly realised it's not getting anywhere near the amount it used too and is protecting itself in starvation mode. Once your body realises you are still putting the fuel in to keep the engine running you'll be fine and it will continue. At least you still lost 2lb, some people lose a big fat 0 when they're body does it...

Keep on trucking, the road is long but the final destination is a great place to be apparently :) xxx

Well done Bryan xx
when you next go to the supermarket, pick up a bag of potatoes weighing 1kg and you will get an idea how much of a loss 2lb is xox

It's ups and down Bryan. In all fairness, I never actually weighed myself until 5 months after. I just got weighed at the beginning, after the first month, after 4 months after, but then they told me, 'See you in 6 months' so I had to start keeping a check myself.

Your body will be all over the place at the moment. Don't get hung up with the weight, concentrate on your walking and getting your food right :)

I am so used to using my weight as a guide due to my time at WW and although I get massive support from my family they are interested in the amount I loose. I have set medium and long term goals but as long as I keep doing what I am I'm happy.

Bryan you're doing amazing and there are bound to be ups and downs so try not to worry. You're fantastic!

Thing is Bryan, not to get too down when it doesn't come off as well as you wanted it to!

Couple of weeks ago, I gained a pound, look what you said to me! You gave me encouragement and 3 days later it had gone and the rest!

You're doing great so far, you're just in a transition period. The thing is, this weight, it's going to stay off, not like before.

Keep at it, next thing you'll be telling us all the things you have done for the first time in years :)

You've lost an incredible amount of weight so far Bryan and anything lost is a loss so carry on with what your doing.

I only ever seem to loose 2-3lbs per week & that seems the 'norm' for me know.

Chin up and just keep on plugging away :D

I have just lost 2lb in week 4 post op and was worried until I read this page, thanks everyone feel much better about things now.
