yes - my surgeon told me not to tell anyone but unless its a horse sized pill, you can start taking most oral medications immediately post bypass - I did and had no problems
Yes the reason you need to be careful initially is because the internal wounds take longer to heal and the area can be swollen. You need to also be aware that anti-inflamatories can cause problems following bariatric surgery. x x
It's good practice with anything that needs to dissolve in your tummy (like capsules) to take them after food so that they have more chance of staying in your tummy a bit longer. If you take them on an empty tummy they can pass through too quickly and not get absorbed fully.
