Hi there,

For your area, you need to have significant medical conditions that
could be improved by weight loss such as: cardiovascular disease, hypertension, type 2 diabetes, cancer, musculo-skeletal disease, reproductive disorders and respiratory disorders.

I hope this information is useful.

A sleep apnoea test would be your best bet.

Will see if I can search out the list.

I've no idea where it is sorry. It was quite a while ago now so it might not show up on searches.

Does anyone else remember it or did I imagine it?

im going to ask doc to refer me for sleep studies its worth a try can doctor refer me to see anyone else surgeon etc to assess me ??

Not the surgeon no, but an endocrinologist and an obesitiy clinic/weight management service are worth doing.

Kerry you are under same PCT as me, and my co morbidities were asthma, high bp and depression.By the time I have my op in July it'll be about 12 months since I first went to the docs and asked about the op.Don't give up hun:D

hi candie i wont give up but i just dont know what to do now the doctor has wrote twice to pct and so have i which direction do i take it now

Hi Kerry

What is your BMI? you have put your height as 50ft 10" so your details are showing as BMI 0.6. If your PCT follows NICE guidelines when they turned you down did they give you a reason?

Maz x

hi maz not sure how i keep getting my profile wrong i am 33 5 ft 10 inches and weigh 24 stone 3 ounces the reason they give is they say i dont meet criteria as i have no health issues apart from the norm you would expect to have with weight

Hi - you can change your details in the user cp, first blue box on the left at the top of the page. Go into change details and scroll down.

Dont know what else to suggest with the PCT !!!??

Take care!
