Hi there Laydee's

Sorry to hear you have had a bit of a struggle. If I was in your position I would try and ascertain what is making you feel low and causes you to comfort/bad eat , because unless you figure out why your comforting eating you will be going round in circles. Deal with the problem/issue first and then all will come right in the end. Wishing you both all the best - Julie xx

Thanks Julie, i know whats causing mine at the moment, but cant do anything about it yet :sigh: ah well, im not doing too bad, but want to do better lol xxx

I'd say pat yourself on the back for doing so well til now and don't beat yourself up for one bad day. Know you can get back on it tomorrow. I don't know much about bands but maybe at your next fill you need it to be tighter so that you are unable to eat what you did on your bad day?

Hello Caren

Judging by your stats and considering you have only had your op in may I would say your doing gr8. Everyone goes through a rough/sticky patch, as long as you pick your self up and doing what you know you should be doing it will all come right in the end. Nobody said this journey would be easy - Just that it would be worth it in the long run. Hugs n Kisses - Julie xx

Tracey, blue diamond has great advice. Definitely need to understand why you have chosen to veer off track ... Then work out how you are going to cope/approach similar situations in the future.

Not everyone tracks their food, but I do. Because that's what has worked for me. Anyone looking at my diary on myfitnesspal would be shocked to see at least one or two quite  high calorie days a week, ie a couple of thousand sometimes. I work my less good food (don't see it as cr@p because that brings on negative negative connotations and exacerbates the vicious circle) into my overall weekly average, so on balance it's fine. I am however ALWAYS honest with myself about exactly what I have eaten. You have to work out what's going to work best for you, but for me it's all about balance and perspective; focus on lots of protein first, eat more of the healthy band friendly foods and just plan in the less healthy foods ocasionally, rather than regularly. xxx

thanks girls for the replies..i have my 2nd fill next week so hopefully thatll give me the kick up the bum i so need..i wouldnt even mind if i was sick etc after being naughty to put me off doing it again, but nope nothing at all x

Hi ladies, snap snap and snap. I had a shocking weekend for grazing. Every time I went to the kitchen I had a bite of sliced ham or handful of weetabix minis. For Absolutely no reason :-/ hence why I needed this op in the first place. I just hope in time my head catches on. Had my first fill today and know that won't make any difference yet but hoping once I start eating I notice a tiny difference? But from reading everyone's threads I am guessing not. I completely agree with flutterby though about tracking food. I have not done that last week and that's the worst week I have had for grazing. X

dont get me wrong,my 1st fill gave me more restriction then what i had,ive got 4mls in my band and no longer have bread, egga, tuna coz they make my chest hurt sooo bad..just wish i had restriction on naughty food lol i need a padlock for the cupboards (i cant stop buying treats coz i have two kids and im not gonna stop their treats for my fatness) or i need my teeth removed so i cant chew,,simples lol xx

eggs not egga haha

I got 4mls today I my 14 mls band. So on liquids for couple of days. I've come to bed starving! Looking forward to seeing if I feel any different at all when I start back on foods. X

might be worth thinking about the kids treats too hun...could they be substituted with healthier options etc....wouldn't harm them and would help you massively in turn. For me I couldn't have nice stuff in the house...end of...as I was like possessed if I knew I had treats in..! :)

always have a sugar free jelly in the fridge.everytime I wanted to binge eat...jelly jelly jelly :)

Hi Tracey, please do not beat yourself up, and calling chocolate and crisps crap only bring negativity towards yourself. Sure they are not the best food choices but like Flutterby says in a week of averages I do not think a couple of treats are anything you should beat yourself up over.
You have done fantastic since MAY! 50 odd pounds, if I manage that in the short time you have I will literally be jumping through hoops :D
So whatever you are doing is working, I think you should set aside one day a week where you have a little treat then you do not feel you are ''cheating'' or ''eating crap'' but just having a little of what you fancy does you good. It is hard after the years and years we have all done of dieting not to feel guilty or want to punish ourselves but remember you have made positive changes to your life, look at the 95% of the time and wonderful choices and effort and not focus on the 5%.
Let it go, don't hold on to it and bring yourself more of the same, done, over, moving on :)
