Daily calories?

I'm a bypasser I average around a 1000 a day and I'm almost 9 months out. I wouldn't worry too much about your calorie content. Just concentrate on a good protein/nutritional content. Have you thought of using myfitnesspal to track your food ? :)

Hi Paula, yes I have been using it for 10 days now.. it really helps keep a track on things. I've found this hot weather has left me making a couple of bad choices and have had 2 ice creams in the past week!! Yikes. Not good, although I chose Solero's which are lower in cals. But I am tracking everything I eat and trying to stay below 600 if I can. I have been losing ok although not every day which I guess is normal.. I must stop jumping on that scale every morning but I just can't wait!

Just be aware if you eat too little, you may stop losing weight. It's hard to stay off the scales in the early days. I was obsessed too but now I only weigh once a week. It must've nice to have some ice cream when the hot weather is here. But unfortunately it makes me dump :-(

I was eating about the same in calories at your stage. I'd say it quite natural for your intake to creep up until you find a level that's right for you. In the early days I worried that I'd just be able to eat more and more until I was back up to eating like I was pre op. I don't worry about that now, I've found a good level for me. I now eat 1200-1300 calories, very much by design. I could easily eat significantly more than that, as I can eat pretty much everything I want. But now I feel I'm able to be more objective about food. Haven't tried ice cream, the calories are too empty for my liking.

I'm exactly like Fiona, started off low in the early days and built up. It happens quite quickly. I can believe I'm just over three months out! I'm on @ 1200 cals a day easily now. X

13 months out, around 1500 cals.

Sounds good. You could try ice lollies much lower in cals and fat, not that you need to worry if you're only eating 700 a day.

Just enjoy this phase because it won't last :)
