Its all I ever seem to do is take drugs, but I was hoping since leaving the hospital things would improve so that I wouldn't have to take as many, but the pain has been so bad I've got no chance of reducing it, I am still having to take Oromorph for the break through pain, and all the other stuff as well..... but I am being sensible now I am resting and doing as I am told as I dont want to be poorly over christmas..... keep praying and thinking of me friends its still a tough time.......:wave_cry:

Hope your feeling better soon, just rest as much as u can love x

Hi Angi, I'm sorry to hear of your pain!
I know so much of what you are experiencing in regards of pain! You may have seem recent post ones I put on here in sept & oct regarding my pain & morphine pump also when I was ill in & out of hospital the latter part of the summer. In 4 weeks I had two operations I'm still recovering from the last one.
I have been with my pain team well over 10 yrs they are fantastic & would not want to be without them.
If you would like to chat by pm or e mail at anytime I'm here for you. I'm still
In the process of trying to get my pump delivering the right amount of morphine to help my pain a little more & also like yourself I'm on so many other tablets I would rattle if I was shook ;) .
Please know I'm thinking of you & I wish you well. Pain is something others can't see so people think you are well when underneath your climbing the walls in pain!
Take it easy, I'm just learning that myself.
Best wishes to you
Hugs xxx

Thinking of you today Angie, I hope you manage to get your pain under control so you can enjoy christmas (HUG) XX

Hi Angie we are all thinking of you wishing your pain away, im hoping it will pass soon and you feel better so you can enjoy your christmas lovey.
Pain is terrible and makes us all feel so low in mood but fingers crossed you will be back on top soon xxxx

Sorry that your still in so much pain Angie - I hope one day soon it gets a lot better for you so that you won`t have to rely on the meds so much, or at all.

Diana - you have had to cope with pain and the meds to relieve it for so many years, it makes me realise how fortunate I am, my problems are mostly related to my weight and when I lose more then my pain should decrease quite a bit.

I think you are both extremely brave xx

Love and Hugs Kat xx

i agree with kat, i think your both really brave, it isnt even just the pain you both have, its the other problems its brought with it, like ops and hospitalisation, even though i need heavy duty painkillers, i dont have all the other messing about that you two have. well done both of you. i hope you both have a lovely christmas, big hugs xxx

Wishing u all the best - I am taking 15 pills + a day (depending on pain levels etc, so I understand where ur coming from) xx

Sending huge hugs. I wish I could take the pain away for you. It seems so unfair that you have to suffer like this.

I feel for you too.

I was taking cocodamol and oxycodone on the day of my op - and made a conscious decision to stop the oxycodone then.

Pain ahs been a problem for nearly 30 years - and I'd hoped to get relief with the weight loss and the bilateral total knee replacements - but was on 8 cocodamol aday till recently.

Liver tests made me come off those to codeine only then I found something that has really helped!!

Butrans patches - had the drug once and it made me sick - but now I still have breakthrough pain but it's so much more level - and I'm down to between 1 and 3 codeine all day.

Think the maladsorption probably didn't help my pain relief - and of course the patches bypass this.

I do know some GPs are reluctant to prescribe them because they are expensive against tablets.

Hope you manage some relief - intractable pain is SO tiring.

hope ur feeling better soon x
