Post-op Gastric Bypass
Hi don't know if anyone is watching this programme. it follows several people through their weight loss surgery to removal of excess skin. def worth watching!

I'm watching it hun:D

I'm watching this!

Watching it...it is very interesting...is making me a little worried though

having lost nearly all my excess weight i def have the lose skin! am planning to seek surgery this year for my tummy and breasts. doesn't look like the NHS fund this but will def try!!! if not i will have to get saving!

i am only 32 and was assured when i had my bypass that given my age the excess skin shouldn't be a major problem but it def is. i look like a deflated balloon in places and whilst i am so pleased with my weight loss the skin problem does get me down at times.

i go to the gym 2-3 times per week and no amount of exercise seems to tone it!

God this Charlie has done well:eek::eek:

They have all done brilliantly, well at least i know that i can get pregnant on the gastric band.

Are you planning on having WLS?

x

Cool, i am awaiting my referral to get sorted.

Good luck hun:D

Thank you, it is driving me mad the waiting and it has only just begun lol.

hi tammy. i was 30 when i had wls im coming up 35 this year, i was told that i had been over weight to many years and that my skin had lost its elasticity and no amount of exercise would put the loose skin right, it would only tone the muscles under the loose skin and fat, i had a tum tuck 2 years ago for this problem an i now need further surgery for other parts of my body that has gone slack. i hope for you exercise can sort your problem, if not id look to talking to a plastic surgeon and get his honest opinion.

good luck

liz x
