First appointment at last!!!!

Hello everyone. I have just received a phone call, asking me to attend my first appointment with the surgeon on 2 March. I can't tell you how pleased I am, as have been fighting to get this operation for almost 4 years now.
Unfortunately there is still a waiting list of 14 weeks after that before my pre-op assessment, and then a further 12 - 14 weeks before surgery.
However, I am now 'in the system', and as long as the surgeon agrees to the operation, by the end of the year, I hope to join many of you lovely people on the Losers Bench.
