On average how much can people eat in 1 meal? I'm noticing my portions increasing more than the small ramekin dish first advised. It's more a small bowl now.

So just wondering if I'm doing wrong? I am 10 months post op

I'm just over a year out and I feel I'm eating loads but when I think about it I'm eating enough for example
I small Greek yogurt with a piece of fruit
2x coffee milk no sugar
small flask of chicken and veg soup
sugar free squash small glass
a "muller size"pot of chicken curry and rice 1 spoon of tarka dhall
1/2 bag of plain chrisps
looks a fair amount but like I said its all small helpings and I stop when ive had enough

I can eat a whole bag of crisps! And I can ear a 6 oz steak and a couple of chips. I can eat a whole small cheese roll.

It's so worrying when you aren't sure

I've only lost 3 lbs in the last 2/3 months (a loss is a loss) although my shape has changed dramatically!! I also hurt my knee so haven't exercised so actually very pleased I haven't gained! (Yet!)

I have a stone to go till target but in all honesty if I don't get there, which i do want to, I wouldn't be too bothered as am at a good weight now and feel great about myself!

I'm 2 years out next month and I can pack away 2 chicken breasts at a time! Eek!
On the other hand though, a small bowl (baby's portion) of rice crispies for example fills me up to bursting point. As does drinking a cuppa tea!

My appetite and portion size is all over the place and I've only recently stopped losing and started gaining because of pregnancy. You should be able to eat a child's size portion in time. So long as what you're eating is what you've been recommended then all should be OK :) x

This was my dinner today home made spanish chicken with cous cous that was at 6.30pm and I've just eaten about 8 small grapes as a snack I'm 2 years out and still losing

I still use my kiddies bowls to keep an eye on the portion size that meal was in my minnie mouse bowl :)

It does to begin with and it's very painful however after time you'll be fine. I was able to pack away 2 blue steaks for a while. Man, they were well nice lol

Heya I had a bypass in Dec last year. I wasn't advised not to eat steak, and they are aware I have had steak.

I don't dump and seem to be able to eat anything within reason.

I was advised no red meat at all, but i have had bacon & chopped pork & gammon all i cut up small & have had no issue's with :) Danni x
