Anyone read news of the world tabloid? Nhs having funding cut for WLS...
I know the NHS are having money cuts but thought it wasn't for WLS.... I also know you can't believe most tabloid papers...
It panics me reading this as should have a date May ( first week in may) to get this far & then they cut the cash for the op think I'd have a break down!!!!!!

I spoke to the surgeon at the C&W a few weeks ago and was told that the funding already agreed would be fine but people just starting out in the process would find getting funding difficult. I am not counting my chickens though until I wake up after the op

Yes, Its true that NHS is cutting funds for WLS. I called my PCT twice and heard the same thing that the funding is stuck from October 2010 in my PCT and they are waiting for the new Policy. When they get the new Policy they will again sit with the MDT to see who needs the funding most and then decide. So hope for the best but the way all this are going, i do think many of us will not get funding in the 1st attempt. I'm looking for the private option just to be safe. xx

I was told funding will be cut across the board but those that have been approved will get surgery but everything is being scrutinised.Plastics after surgery will be a no no for the most part.

Gawd we going to have to put up a fight!! Good job I'm a fighter if needs be!!!
Hoping SRH pull it out the bag and the other local NHS trusts!

when i rang srh a week ago they said 2 weeks id get date, arrghhhhhh so maybe end of this week?.....fingers crossed everyone gets there ops, very scary xx
