I have funding, though there is a bit of a mix up to whether an op date has been booked or not. Will find out Monday.

Looks like we may be bedside buddies after all lol.

I ended up ringing my pct as Homerton made a bit of a mix up. My pct phoned the secretary today at Hom and they faxed her my application. She telephoned me this afternoon to tell me they have agreed the funding and she will be faxing the decision to the secretary tomorrow.

I dont have the pre op date yet or the op date yet, but ALL other boxes are ticked.

BTW did you know Diane is off till mid next week?

my inital referall was over 2 and a half yrs ago, my first Homerton app was in February 2008 (19 months ago) Nearly there

It seems like it may finally happen for the both of us .

I had a bit of a panic eariler this week when I spoke to the Bariatric Nurse, she thought I was on the pre-op diet already .
I explain I was waiting for funding and and op date and she said she thought she had discussed both with me already.

She hadn't, she said was going to check on both and get back to me. Didn't hear from her so phoned the next day only to be told she was off sick.

I spoke to the Bariatric Secretary and she confirmed I had funding, but couldn't find a record of op date. She said the best person to talk to was Diane who would be back Monday. Now your saying she back mid-week . We'll get there in the end I hope lol.

Hi All,

I had hope to find out my op date yesterday when the bariatric co-ordinator returned for her holiday.

I spoke to her yesterday and she sounded like she was swamped with work, but said op would be some time in OCTOBER.

I've ask for Mr Mannur to do op as I've heard good things about him. Because I have lowered BMI they may do it on a Saturday. I'm actually looking forward to starting the pre-op diet lol.
