Has anyone had Mr A Li (spire macclesfield) as their surgeon?

StephieAck

I know Ive changed!
Hi all
I got my letter today to say my first appointment with the surgeon is on 12th of this month with Mr Alan Li at the Spire Regency Hospital at Macclesfield.
What I am wondering is if anybody else here has had appointments with him.
If so, is he nice?
I have looked him up on the hospital site and he sounds really good and looks lovely on his picture.
Anyone?
Steph xx

I had my op done at Macclesfield by Mr Agwunobi, and haven't heard of Mr li.Is he there to replace Mr Brough?:D

Hiya
Thanks for the reply.
I have no idea I just have an appointment with him.
He looks really nice from the pictures Ive found of him though.

If he's replacing Mr Brough then he'll be quite new, so not suprising that no-one has heard of him. There are a few of us that had surgery at Macclesfield though and all good so far :) The dietician there is pants but the rest are lovely.

Hhhmmm, I wonder if that means that he will have a shorter waiting list...can always dream eh lol
To be honest noone can compare to my last two dieticians, Lara taught me soooooooo much more than anyone else ever did before or after her and the bariatric dietician Eileen is just AWESOME and somebody that I am very grateful to, so any new dieticians have a LOT to live up to.
Well, maybe if I have Mr Li the whole way through I can be the one that people on here refer to when others ask about him.
Thanks for the reply Shell xx

I doubt he will have a shorter waiting list hun, but now there's 3 consultants again your total wait should be shorter:rolleyes:
Shel's right about the dietician too:(

Hi Steph, I'm booked under Mr Li at the Spire hospital. Apparently he trained under Mr Ammori and has performed many ops both at the Spire, Hope and other hospital. I think Tpt had Mr Li and there are a few others, sorry I can't remember who but there is a thread that I started with some names.

I haven't met him yet, but, I can tell I'm getting old as he looks very young when I've looked up his details. I have to admit I really wanted Mr Ammori. Hope someone comes along soon who can tell you a little more.

I am booked at the spire regency aswell. I was warned by a post op patient about the dietician while I was there lol I am booked with Mr Decadt ;) Good luck Steph x

I had Mr Li at Manchester under Surgicare (private) he is a total dude! Not only is he charming (looks like Michael Macintyre), but he is very friendly. He specialises he key hole WLS - I researched him with various nursing colleagues of mine from round the UK and he has a really good rep. He was initially trained under Mr Ammorie but I believe he just does key hole procedures now (I could be wrong).

You won't go far wrong with him, lovely neat scars and lovely bedside manner (oooerrr Mrs!!):eek::D:D:D
