You might want to make your GP aware of the route your specialist is taking, the more people that know your medical history the better. My son had a referral for a band made via his Neurologist (he has severe epilepsy amongst other things) so know it does happen.

I phoned my gp surgery to
Let them know and found out my consult and had already wrote to inform them. I am now on surgeons list for surgery ))
