my new life!!
So do I try and avoid it hun but only with things I know are going to affect me . You have got to experiment with food or life is going to get very boring.
At my recent appointment where I was told to stop over chewing and concentrate on the more solid foods and stop relying on safe food I said to him that I havent done this because it gets stuck & I am eventually sick. He told me that to make this work I have to get over that fear and start experimenting. Things getting stuck are a reality of the bypass. I was really enjoying my prawn stir fry last night ..I've been scared to try it again because it has got stuck before. Guess what it got stuck again. I was so miffed because I was really really enjoying it too.. the dog loved it also as he got the majority of it . Anyhoo not giving up and going to try them again at lunchtime. Wish me luck
Frankie....I do think sometimes dieticans/surgeons mean well with their advice, but they really don't know what's its like to eat this new way,its very "alien" way of eating.
I get food stuck all the time, and it does make you fearful of eating.
But...you have keep at it and keep trying,I'm still experimenting even after 3+ years..lol
