How soon after op can you drive?

I was just wondering how long after surgery is it ok to drive? :character00182::character00182::character00182:

Just a question i thought of that i forgot to ask...d'oh!

Im in no rush to drive after the op as my hubby will be home for about 10 days, but after that i will need to be doing school run.

Hi, you need to ask your surgeon and insurers, my hospital said 1-2 weeks (once you were ok to do an emergency stop), and my insurers said they go along with the hospital guidelines.
I waited 2 weeks and within the first week back behind the wheel I had to do an emergency stop as a dog ran in front of the car, I felt fine, but relieved that I'd waited.

yeah im on day 2 of my pre op diet, its lowfat/carb diet. im finding it ok at the mo
