Internal Staples

Right, now I may be a bit dim asking this but ... do the staples inside stay there forever & are there enough of them to cause problems with the new airport scanning system. Bad enough for them to see through your clothes but if they could see the staples internally, I would be mega embarrassed. xxx

Erm, very good question and I don't actually know the answer. I think that the staples must be permanent, cause you don't hear of people having later ops to take them out!!

We don't fly very much, but I can imagine how it would look

Although to be fair to the airport staff, I reckon they'd be very discreet x

yes they stay forever, they are made of titanium so they are safe. The machine only looks at the body, not inside it. My son has a titanium rod in his leg from knee to ankle and that doesn't set off the alarm at the airport.
