Can anyone tell me why there was a gentleman having his redundant stomach removed on tonight's episode,my wife is convinced he was having a bypass,as far as I know the redundant stomach remains in place due to production of digestive juices & hormones. I thought he may have been undergoing a gastric sleeve procedure?

He had his stomach removed as he was having the sleeve. If having the bypass the stomach remains in place. Just rearranged!! Hope this helps
