Hi Gaynor

Sorry to hear you have gained weight,but like you said the steriods wont be helping but its a catch 22 you need to take your medication,i am sure you body will settle down soon dont forget your only about 5 weeks post op.
It wont be long before you get your first fill and then you will see the pounds flying off.

Di you're right about the catch 22. If I did'nt take the steroids I'd be struggling even more with my breathing and where would that leave us lol.We would'nt be able to natter for hours on end would we??

Hi Gaynor, sorry to hear you have had a gain...you will soon lose that and a lot more, I had my TOTM last week and only lost 1lb I was disappointed but when I measured myself I had lost 4". You could be and probably are retaining fluids because of your TOTM. Don't get upset about it as it will come of as soon as it is over...drink lots of fluids to flush out your fluid retention.

Hang in there i have had my first fill but seems to be sticking on the weight front i think i will need another soon even though i am not eating no where near what i did do .It must start moving soon or i will have to get a big saw lol good news have not put any on .fingers crossed for you.

sorry you have gained and i cant really add any other advice other than the fab advice you have already been given, but dont worry im sure you will loose that and more very soon. Also i know how you feel as i had put on 4lbs (and i didnt have steroids to blame!) i have irregular totm and that was the cause i think but now it is totm (probably tmi!!!) it has dissapered virtually overnight ???
im sure as soon as you have your fill you will loose.

Hi Sarah, I've not got a date yet but see my surgeon next week and should get an appointment within 2 weeks of that with a bit of luck lol

It would be good to blame the scales as well would'nt it lol. I knew I'd gained because I could feel it but knew the steriods would help me gain. Have to have them though so I can breathe so will just have to work harder to lose the weight when I'm on them lol:deadhorse:
