Just Got my Date

Hi all,

I am new here...just got my date through for my gastric sleeve surgery....1st August, which is my daughters birthday! I am nervous, scared and excited!!! Worried about the pain, hoping I will be kind of OK for our long planned Florida holiday at the end of October, looking forward to a new me....also worried that I may be making a mistake....did anyone else have doubts? Does anyone regret it?

I'm a bander, but had those fears before my surgery (and for many years before!) took me 7 years to finally book and go ahead . . .do I regret it? Never in a million years . . .

It isn't all plain sailing. its damn hard work and real strict control over what I eat etc, but worth every second as the lbs disappear . . .

The 1st of August is my Mum's Birthday too!
My Mum had the sleeve about 5 years ago and she has no regrets and most of the health problems that she had before hand have more or less been cured.
