Are they effervescent ones? If so, I believe trials have shown that most of the goodness goes up in the fizz! If not...then thank you

I get fed up of saying this but the only Vits that we should consider are Forcival. No others will give us all that we need to keep us healthy

No they are capsules and about an inch long.... although they do now do a soluable version but I don't know if it's availble in the UK

So, what are we supposed to have whilst on a liquid post-op diet??? What did you take?

I didnt get prescribed these until my 6 week checkup.

Okey dokes - but dietician at the MDT day said to get some liquid vits for the immediate post-op period. Could I squeeze the contents or is it 'dry' do you think??

I accept what Karlos says about Forceval but on that advice I went & got some & found I was allergic to them & they made me very sick. The hospital team put me back on the liquid Dailivits. They also prescribed me with Adcal chewable vit d with calcium. I'm a sleever with allergy issues.
When I took Forceval I squeezed them onto my tongue.

Hi

I am also on Forceval but was told not to take them for the first few weeks after surgery, but although they are huge I have never ever had any issues taking them, so don't let the size put you off as they really are one of the best ones to take and if you get them on prescription so much cheaper that over the counter vits as well.

As for liquid vitamins I was told no available liquid vitamin contains all the compounds we need post surgery, so if you do take them expect your blood tests to show up deficiencies in the future.

Talking of Forceval I see it is now available as a Soluable tables as well, don't know how the Soluable compares to the capsual one though.

Thank you for that Paul - I dont think any pills would replace 'the real thing', but in our situation, I guess its going for the best available to us.

MDT day just said a decent, branded multi vit with minerals, Forceval was not mentioned (...although I d already read up on it, because of the valuable info on here!).
