Hi Jennie
Also a newbie and had sleep apnea test at Kings college a few weeks ago. All ok . Now awaiting outcome of funding for a gastric sleeve. The dietician mentioned the panel meet twice a month and waiting list up to 12 months.

hi,yeah i was told the wait would be a year or so.Hope u get the funding .x
Hi Jennie, I found i had sleep apnoea on my weight loss journey, I had suspected it for a while i have always snored and woke myself up doing it, got to the point i was sleeping downsatirs so i didnt wake the rest of the household up. At my 1st hosp app. I filled in a general questionnaire and they decided i needed testing so after bout 6 months finally got an app for sleep clinic got wired up and sent home apparently my apnoea was quite bad and I got a cpap machine. After my op last year after losing 41/2 stone I went back to the clinic for another test and it was found that i no longer needed my machine it was then sent back to the hospital and i hardly snore at all now I sleep in my own bed everynight now with hubby and no complaints. So there is light at the end of the tunnell, it can be done, best of luck to you on this journey I am almost 1 year post op now and doing fine, but i had bypass. xx;)
