low cholesterol

im nearly 6 months post op and my gp says my cholesterol is too low. i didnt know it could be. has anyone else been told this.

I didnt know it could be too low either I just believed the lower the better....we learn something new all the time. What has he suggested you do? if anything and how low is too low? XX

she hasnt sugested anything yet. normal cholesterol is between 3 and 5. mine is 2.1, but she did say it can be as dangerous as high cholesterol.

Yeah, low cholestrol can be bad too as well as high cholestrol. Typical reasons are malabsorption, which obviously you're going to have.
