So, got my appointment tomorrow, got to be there at nine, leaving home at six, as it's a good hour and a half run at the best of times.
There is so much going through my mind at the moment, excitement, panic, fear, hope....
Finding it very difficult to concentrate on work, and have a complicated meeting to minute this afternoon, but all I want to do is dream about what my new life could be like. Keep dreaming of having a bath! Sad eh?

Thanks everyone, I am away for the weekend after, so probably won't be back on until Tuesday, but will let you know how I get on. #Goteverythingcrossed..

Good luck hun! Please let us know how you get on! I may need to pick ur brain, I should be getting my MDT appointment at St Richards and I'd love to know what it intails x
Fingers crossed for you x

Hi guys, just a quick one, but they said yes to a bypass!!! Cant believe it! Anyway, ill post more when im home and on a proper pc rather than tiny screen phone! Lumpy, I kept a diary, Ill type up what took place x

Excellent wow that was quick I thought it was your first appointment don't they have to have a mdt meeting first x x x

It was my first, but it was an mdt too. Because my bmi is so high I will bypass the tier 3. Still hasn't sunk it!

Hi Ya Vickster!
Just hoping you could tell me more about the MDT? I've recently sent the questionnaire I was sent back to St Richards so the next step is the MDT and it feels me with dread as I know just how important getting a yes is x x

It was my first, but it was an mdt too. Because my bmi is so high I will bypass the tier 3. Still hasn't sunk it!
I've already did Tier 3 I went to my first appointment as tier 4 then I was told they have a mdt meeting and decide what surgery they will offer or if you're suitable .

I think the other thing is they dont do tier 3 in my area, and as my BMI is 75, the nurse told me I didn't need to do it.
Lumpy, I send my questionnaire back in late August, and had my appointment letter for last Friday in mid November.
When I got there on Friday I was weighed and measured, and then one by one I saw the specialists. Aghh running out of battery, Will have to finish off later!

Sorry about that! Anyway, I saw a specialist nurse, General physician, dietitian, anaesthestist and a psychologist in the morning. Lots of people (some that have had wls, some that haven't) had said to me to be prepared for some of them to be challenging and perhaps hard, but I have to say each and every one of them was lovely!
I'd seen everyone by about quarter to 12 and was told I could go, and be back by two ish. Those two hours were unbearable! !! I then had to wait a good hour before seeing the consultant. I was the last to go in and I had convinced myself by now it was going to be bad news. I was wrong though! He was so, so lovely and patient, kept checking my understanding and listened to every single question. He then asked me to get on the couch as he wanted to see how flat I am when I lie down. After that, me and two other ladies went in to see the dietitian again where she told us about the liver shrinkage diet and also more about what we could expect food wise after the op. And that was it, free to go around four ish. And apparently we don't see them again until the pre op. It was a huge, huge day, but nothing unpleasant really. Hope that helps a bit x

Awww thanks chick! You must be sooooooo relieved lol I'm dreading it, I really am!
Do you know if anyone was refused at the MDT? I'm so nervous, I don't even have a date for my MDT yet but I'm already finding it hard to sleep, it's constantly on my mind x

I don't think anyone was refused. One thing I will say is that I hadnt anticipated how much time id need to process it all! It was all I could think about before mdt, but now its ten times worse!! Have had to take a couple of days unplanned annual leave just to try and ground myself a bit!!
Hope you hear soon x x

It's awful isn't it, it consumes your life, constantly thinking about it, it's all the waiting that does you in lol x
Thankyou hunni, are you on Facebook? There is a Chichester support group on there if you wanted to join x

I am on fb, I'll have a look ta! I need to find a way to chill a bit, or else I'm going to make myself ill! How long have you been waiting for questionnaire? I'm sure I got mine within a month of gp referral (took gp couple of weeks to do it)
