Well i woke up bright and breezy this morning opened my cards and pressies and really looking forward to a lovely day. I decieded to have a cheese omelette for my breakfast as it was a special day and OMG have i suffered since.

I feel i have got little daggers inside me and i feel absolutely s*** - so if i feel better tomorrow then i'll enjoy tomorrow instead!!!!!!

Awwe what a shame. I can't eat eggs either, only tried once but didn't like the pain afterwards. Besides that did you get anything nice?

Hi Topsy,

I have had a similar reaction to scrambled egg. The pain in my chest was awful and I ended up with it coming back up the way it went down about 90 minutes later. I was told by the Manor on discharge that scrambled egg was fine 4 weeks post op so I thought I'd give it a try. I won't be in a hurry to try it again for a while!

Sorry your omelette upset your tummy and spoiled your birthday Topsy could it have been the cheese too? I get dreadful indigestion with cooked cheese.
I hope I can eat eggs okay after my op as I dont eat much meat and eat eggs every day.............it would be a disaster for me if I couldnt.
Oh well will wait and see and hope you feel better later Topsy

Jay xx

Oh dear - well they say if its bad at first to leave it for a while and try again at a later date. Hope your birthday was not too miserable.

Sorry you've had a bad do hun:(I made a pastryless cheese the other day with cott cheese and eggs, and after only 1 tblsp I felt like i had a ton weight pressing on my chest:eek::eek:
TBH though I have always had probs eating eggs, but was trying to get the protein in:eek:

Firstly, happy birthday for tomorrow. There's no reason in the world you can't have 2 special days, the Queen does after all....

Sorry you felt ill, here's to the sun shining on you tomorrow... oh yes and sprinkle some of that sparkly fairy dust on yourself for good luck!
