I lost loads of hair after having dysentery too. it was horrible, but I didn't go bald. my hairdresser told me hair always reacts when you've been poorly but shows a few months later.

I think I was more nervous about my boyfriend seeing how much I lost, or how much was going to come out in his hands if he was playing with my hair. He has been fine with everything though. THANK GOD!!!!!

Hi Everyone, I'm pre-op so can't imagine the impact of the hair loss to which you refer and have experience of. My 23 yr old daughter however became very concerned a couple of months ago that she was losing large clumps of hair for no aparent reason. She bought a hair supplement from Boots and within 3 weeks we could all see a huge difference. I can't remember the name of it at the moment but I will ask her what it is when she next calls (she's at university) and will post the name here.
