Post Op Swelling

Hi All

Could anyone give me their experience of the amount of time it took for your post laparoscopic surgery swelling to go down?

If i'm honest, it took at least a month, possibly a month and a half.

Remember your body has been through one hell of a trauma and will heal in its own time. You may heal slower or faster than anyone else.

Hi there, we all heal at different paces so I can't say how long for your swelling to go down. Good luck and hope you dont suffer with it for too long xx

I didn't really have a lot of swelling and was probably only a couple of weeks but as Emma Louise says your body has taken a lot on board so just take your time and remember the bits you can't see take longer to heal than the bits you can so plenty of rest is the key for the first few weeks xx

As the others have said, everyone's different... I'm 10 days out of surgery now and definitely still have swelling. Less than earlier on, but still have some definitely.
