not happy bunny got a letter today from birmingham to say they are not willing to operate yet due to some blood work issues i have had in the past really annoyed now has anyone else come across this at all many thanks:sigh:

That must be so frustrating for you xx

Oh that must be disappointing but fingers crossed they can get the blood issues sorted.

it must be frustrating, but at least you hadn't been given the date because that planning for that time and then cancelling, especially if you've started pre-ops can be reall hard.

It's hard, but at least they're making sure everything is ok medically, it would be awful if they didn't and something was awry.

It happened to me I failed the anaesthetics , had to see cardiac surgeon , cardiologist . I'm scared I fail the pre op on Wednesday

I was scared I'd fail my pre-op yesterday (no particular reason why I should) and when she did the ECG and raised her eyebrows I went into a panic, but it was my fault I had my wrist pads too close to my heart pads making the machine go haywire :8855: once I put my arms down it was fine.

thanks guys was just all set for getting a date in feb as i was told but no not happening now feel so let down been waiting 2 years to get this far now a wait again not sure now if i even want to bother anymore guess just having a bad day

Hi princess4d4, it must be awful to have to wait even longer - my heart goes out to u!! But keep your chin up, you have come this far now - a little bit longer surely won't make too much difference, the time will soon fly by, especially with Christmas coming up!! Take care xxx chin up xxxx

so saw my gp this week i have to now wait to be seen at haematology he did my refferal to them and they cant get me in until 27th jan so just when i would have started my pre op diet i will be seeing them so figure my surgery will now be more towards summer than originally planned for end feb/ early march so so annoyed right now

That's awful hun :( Did they give you no indication of what the "issue" was and if it was surmountable? (((Hugs)))

i had a problem few months ago with spontaneous bruising they did tests and came back i had elevated factor 8 levels which they put down to medication they stopped the medication still get the bruising so now they need to try find out why its still happening

Well let's hope that this is just a temporary postponement while they get to the bottom of the issue. All for the best in the end even though it feels a bit crappy right now :(

Hi princess4d4, I am so sorry that you have got to wait even longer!!! I had to see haematology due to me being on warfarin for a previous DVT and PE, but they had made me a plan for pre and post op for me to follow, so hopefully I won't have any problems!!!! I hope haematology will sort you out soon and you can carry on your journey - keep your chin up, you have come this far - don't give up now!!! Xxxx
