Pregabalin medication for pain.

I have just been prescribed the above drug for pain relief while waiting for a procedure. Has anyone else taken this as most of the things I have googled say one of the side effects are weight gain.I have been taking Amitriptolene and have gained 5lbs so I don't need to gain any more.

Im not on it now but have been on amitriptyline for years. I think my medications did contribute to my weight gain (multiple ones not just those two) but I have no choice but to take them and I am losing weight post surgery. Sometimes you have to put your health first. Will you be able to come off it after the procedure? Maybe talk to your GP about your concerns and see if there's anything else?

Thank you for your reply yes I will be able to come off them hopefully as I have been struggling just recently with weight gain I don't want it to get any worse.
